Naunton Baptist Chapel

The client’s goal in this interesting project was to enhance the front entrance of their home and in doing so reduce heat loss and provide draft exclusion. This 18th century stone built chapel was converted some years ago into a dwelling and the contemporary upgrade was designed to provide a striking impression whilst retaining the character of the chapel building.

NAUNTON BAPTIST CHAPEL

The client lead design incorporated the concept of a bronze framed pair of outer glass doors to complement and frame the front elevation and existing inner doors. By templating the original stone arch, a bespoke pair of doors were built to the exact size of the aperture and the use of slim-line bespoke secondary glazing provided a modern feel to the installation.
